Auto Rigger

Software:Python
Software: Maya, Ryder
Project Overview: As a pivotal milestone in my journey as a tech artist, the development of an auto rigger tool in Maya represented a significant undertaking. This solo project, driven by my passion for automation and tool development, aimed to streamline character rigging processes and expand my proficiency beyond Unreal Engine and Unity environments.
Implemented in Python, the auto rigger tool offers users the ability to rig characters with flexibility, supporting both IK and FK rigs for specific body parts. Furthermore, users can opt for an all-IK or all-FK rig setup, enhancing versatility and customization options. While the tool currently achieves essential rigging functionalities, future plans involve expanding its capabilities to include advanced features such as customizable constraints, IK/FK switching, spine spline solutions, and additional functionalities to further refine my programming skills.
Technical Proficiency: This project immersed me in Python scripting for Autodesk software, deepening my understanding of rigging principles and automation techniques. By interfacing with Maya’s API and leveraging third-party tools like Ryder, I developed a robust solution for character rigging that reflects my commitment to innovation and continuous improvement in technical artistry.
