Angel vs Demon Cinematic

Project Overview:

Title: Angel vs Demon
Duration: 3 months
Team Size: 12 members
Software Used: Unreal 5.2, Adobe Premiere Pro, Perforce

My Role:

I was responsible for creating two of the main visual effects in the cinematic: the meteor shower and the black hole. I also contributed to video editing, helping polish key moments in the sequence and supporting the animation and lighting teams.

Technical Proficiency:

Using Unreal Engine 5.2, I worked extensively with the Sequencer and Niagara systems. I created the meteor effect using the Niagara Fluid System and built the black hole effect using HLSL. The Sequencer allowed me to fine-tune timing and transitions to ensure each effect landed with maximum impact.

In Adobe Premiere Pro, I helped refine audio syncing, transitions, and overall pacing, ensuring a polished final product with strong narrative flow.

Project Evolution:

Angel vs Demon began as a simple pitch from our character artists—a battle between two monsters. As the team grew, the concept evolved into a fully realized cinematic shaped by each member’s creative input.

I focused on creating the meteor shower and black hole VFX, but also supported the animation and lighting teams. My experience with Adobe Premiere Pro allowed me to help with sequencing, timing, and overall editing to polish the final product.

Collaboration was at the heart of this project. By sharing knowledge and working closely across disciplines, we turned a straightforward idea into a dynamic, visually rich cinematic that reflected the entire team’s strengths.

Conclusion:

This cinematic project exemplifies the power of teamwork and creativity in the realm of digital artistry. Through collaboration and dedication, we transformed a simple concept into a visually stunning and immersive narrative. I am proud to have played a role in its creation and look forward to embarking on future projects that push the boundaries of visual storytelling.
